1

Market Mapping

We map who does your exact work, in your region or nationwide, and which employers they sit at. We start from the scope, the equipment, the shift and the license, not from the job title.

2

Contact Intelligence

We work out how to reach those people through lawful, professional sources, and which of them are plausible movers. No scraping tricks and no pretending to be anyone.

3

Persistent Personalized Outreach

Good tradespeople ignore the first message. We write to each person about their own work and stay relevant and respectful until there is a real conversation.

4

Live Qualification

We talk through scope, tools and what the person has actually done, then check any required license or certification with the issuing authority for the jurisdiction.

5

Candidate Intelligence

We learn what would make a move worth it, how they work, and where the gaps are, so you hear it before the interview and not after it.

6

Shortlist

You receive a specific shortlist with a written brief on each person. It is short because it was checked, not because we guessed. We make no promise about who will accept.

The narrowing

Each stage removes people who do not fit. What remains is short on purpose.

What we will not do

We will not pad a list with people who do not match the scope. We will not pretend a license transfers when it may not. We will not promise a candidate will accept before they have said so.

Defining Technical Requirements and Jurisdiction

Your project outcome depends on matching specific mechanical or electrical requirements to the correct jurisdictional credentials. Provide the exact scope of work and the local permit or licensing demands during the intake phase. Our team verifies these certifications against the issuing authority database to ensure the candidate can legally perform the work upon arrival. If a license does not transfer across state lines, we identify that limitation immediately rather than presenting a candidate who requires extensive administrative delays before they can start on your site.

Avoid broad job titles. Focus on the tools used, the shift requirements, and the specific tasks the person performs daily. When we discuss the role with a potential candidate, we verify their past project experience against these precise technical needs. You receive evidence of this assessment before the interview, allowing you to gauge technical aptitude before investing your time in a conversation.

Offer Management and Counteroffer Reality

Retaining a skilled tradesperson often hinges on how the offer addresses their specific motives for moving. We capture the candidate's preferences and current limitations during our qualification process. When you prepare an offer, include the full scope and travel expectations to avoid surprises that lead to declines. If you suspect a counteroffer from their current employer, bring this up during the briefing stage.

We maintain transparency regarding who is open to a move and who is not. If a candidate remains hesitant, we communicate that early. We do not influence a candidate to take an offer that does not meet their fundamental needs, as this leads to turnover. You decide the salary and benefits package based on the intelligence we provide about their market value and professional goals.

Logistics, Confidentiality, and Hiring Steps

Confidentiality protects your active projects and our candidates. We do not blast resumes or use public job boards that signal your hiring needs to competitors. Our process involves direct, lawful contact with individuals who currently hold similar roles at other firms. This keeps your search discreet while ensuring you access the latent market of people who are working but might consider a move for the right project.

Background and Engagement Framework

We operate on a direct hire contingency model. You incur no upfront fees and only pay if you hire the person we identify. We do not handle background checks or drug screenings. You remain responsible for those checks as the hiring entity once you extend an offer. Our role is to identify and qualify the person. We do not employ, pay, or insure the individuals we present to you, nor do we act as a temporary agency. You set the terms of employment directly with the hire.

Deciding whether to hire a specialist for a long-term project or a short-term assignment creates a tension between cost and project stability. Owners often prefer a permanent addition to maintain institutional knowledge on site. A full-time employee becomes familiar with your specific infrastructure and safety culture over time. This familiarity reduces the learning curve when new tasks emerge unexpectedly during the project lifecycle.

Contract labor provides flexibility when you face uncertainty regarding the total duration of a project. If your project schedule depends on volatile material deliveries or permit approvals, a long-term contract worker might offer a buffer. You avoid the immediate overhead of a permanent salary while still ensuring that you have a competent person ready for the work. Choosing between these options requires an honest look at your current budget versus your long-term site needs.

Evaluate the risk of project stoppages if you decide to fill a role with a contractor who moves to another site before you finish your scope. A permanent hire creates a loyal connection to your goals but increases your fixed costs during periods of low activity. Conversely, relying solely on short-term labor can result in constant turnover and the need to retrain individuals on your site protocols. This training time consumes resources that you could otherwise direct toward completion.

Consider the impact on your permanent crew when you introduce new workers. A permanent hire may integrate into your core team, fostering consistent communication and shared accountability. A contractor remains an outsider who may prioritize their next engagement over your current project's success. Your choice depends on whether you view the role as a temporary plug for a gap or a foundation for your upcoming site requirements.

Review your internal capacity to manage additional full-time personnel before committing to a search. Hiring a permanent employee requires you to own all long-term personnel obligations. This path remains effective if you possess a consistent pipeline of work. If your volume fluctuates, managing your budget becomes difficult with fixed labor costs. Prioritize stability over immediate savings if you value project continuity above all else.
